Dear IMAPS Nordic Members and Friends,

These member letters are not very frequent, the previous was sent in December, but I assume you stay tuned anyway. This is again sent by paper mail to everyone and the main letter as email to those we have on our distribution list. For electronic and latest version of all documents, please see our web.

New website

First news, our webmaster Katarina Boustedt has arranged a totally new web site for us and also a simplified web address: www.imapsnordic.org. Have a look and enjoy easy information retrieval! A side effect is that all board email addresses are also simplified:

New Board Members

Next, our new board members, Dag Ausen and Maja Amskov Gravad, are actively participating in the board activities. Dag is heavily involved in the conference arrangements. Maja has a new job at GN ReSound and her email address is now magravad@gnresound.dk. Both are (soon) described on our web.

Member Details

Please remember to pay your member fee for 2001 now, if you did not pay when the bill was sent out in December. Validity of your membership can be checked in the address field of the envelope, it is indicated by a four digits member number after your name, otherwise the field is empty. For any questions on fees or changes in address details please contact our treasurer Terho, email address above and right.

Anniversary Conference

The main reason for this letter is to announce our Anniversary Conference to be held in Oslo September 23 - 26. Our good reputation and the Anniversary enabled us to get a large amount of abstracts to choose from and to build very contemporary and focused sessions, many with trend setting opening papers. Attached you find all the necessary documents about the conference and the associated tutorials. One tutorial is on Wednesday afternoon this time. As we have a printed colour flyer on the conference I do not repeat the superlatives here.

We are aware of the travel restrictions that apply for many companies these days. However, we are certain that if you choose to participate in the IMAPS Nordic conference, you and your employer will both be satisfied!

Annual Meeting

All active members of IMAPS Nordic are invited to the Annual Meeting on September 24 2001 at 10.00 in Olavsgaard, Oslo, Norway.
